Primary Responsibilities:
- Experienced Network Management System (NMS) Test Engineer with a
superior ability to create and perform design verification testing on
schedule (must demonstrate both automation SW scripting and manual
procedures)
- Design new test configurations for automation tests and test
procedures that efficiently highlight new problems and features
- Investigate, verify resolution, regression test system problems and
appropriately document
- Quickly respond to changing test needs in the lab including products /
WS reconfiguring / downloads, working in different OS and DBS environments
- Strong communication skills with a proven track record of resolving
software and applications deficiencies and troubleshooting issues are
required
- Interface with Development, Systems Engineering and Customer Support
groups to communicate test results and promote quick resolution of
problems and performance of new features
Required Skills/Experience:
- Electrical or Computer Engineering degree, or equivalent
- 5+ years direct experience in EMS / NMS, Client/Server applications,
using different GUI, OS and DBS
- Applications: UNIX/Linux, WinXX, different SQL versions, Java, XML,
ORACLE, CORBA, TL1, HTTP, and more
- Familiar with Tests Documents and Result Report environment
- SW Testing of Datacom systems in both: manual and automation tests (SW
scripting in WinRunner or similar)
- Asset - ATM, E1/T1, Telephony and wireless RF point to point (PTP),
point to multipoint (PMP) background
