Sr. Marketing Manager - Ontario Government -

Responsibilities: Your focus will be development and implementation of
market strategies in support of our growth objectives. You provide in-depth
knowledge and analysis of the industry, market trends and competition.
Specifically you will:· Work with Product Management to jointly develop and
implement industry oriented value propositions, market positioning, market
strategy and integrated solutions. · Champion product innovation,
enhancements and improvements, including: service / product capabilities and
improvements to end-to-end product delivery processes through working with
customers and Sales to determine significant service gaps. · Provide
in-depth knowledge and analysis of the industry market, trends and
competition for the service portfolio and manages relationships with key
customers, partners, and suppliers. · Collaborate with product managers
and sales teams to develop market planning and strategies as well as deliver
sales support, through RFPs, customer business cases, training tools,
collateral, customer communication programs, customer events, direct mail,
and advertising campaigns. · Serve as internal consultant providing
strategic guidance to the VP Marketing and the Managing Director on industry
trends for investment purposes. · Collaborate with Marketing
Communications team, Product Management, Sales and Partners to develop and
deliver marketing communications programs, including: sales support tools,
customer business cases, RFP support, market communication plans, customer
references and success stories, collateral, customer hosting events,
promotion and advertising, etc.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge:· Expert industry knowledge in Government - Federal,
Provincial, Municipal · Knowledge of Government IM/IT Concepts, strategies
and directions · A strong understanding of telecommunications technologies
and their business applications, including the areas of voice, data,
mobility, and internet products as well as the ability to develop integrated
value proposition. · Wide-ranging experience, using professional concepts
and corporate objectives to assess and resolve complex marketing issues in
creative and effective ways. · Knowledge of communications and marketing
analysis strategies; · Business development and financial competence
(ability to develop financial models, and business cases) are required. .
Required Skills & Abilities:· Strong leadership, interpersonal and
communication skills · Ability to develop and implement effective marketing
strategies, · Outstanding presentation, negotiation skills and a proven
ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external
contacts at a senior level. · Strong organizational, project and time
management skills. · Self-Motivated. Required Professional
Designation/Certification:· Post secondary degree in business or marketing
or equivalent experience is required. An MBA or advanced degree is a
plus.Required Experience:· 5 - 10 years of progressive marketing and
business development experience, particularly experience in customer and
industry marketing · Proven track record of success in meeting individual
targets and managing projects and teams. · Minimum 5 years experience in
marketing to or working within Government -Federal, Provincial, Municipal.
