Our client is looking for a PM to manage an eBusiness application
development projects.

The ideal candidate would have the following background;

. Done programming in the past and is familiar with current programming
languages and has a strong technical background. Good understanding of
the technology will allow the PM to better assess where the potential
project risks lie and can draw on their own experience to avoid typical
pitfalls.
. At least 5-7 years experience in project management.
. Very familiar with software development methodologies and processes
and can articulate them to client. This is very important. Big on
development discipline and quality.
. Familiarity with PM reporting and management tools.
. PM will put together project plans which include risk analysis and
will manage the entire project and be responsible for delivering the
project on time and to the appropriate quality standards.
. Responsible for communicating and holding periodic project status
meetings with development team and client.


Industry & Development Environment;

. Financial services industry, i.e., banks, mutual fund companies,
insurance companies and brokerage firms.
. Programming languages are Java, C and C++. Our projects are based on
J2EE architectures, Struts, Weblogic, Websphere and databases such as
Oracle.
. Development projects include J2EE client/server applications and
working with live/streaming data services feeds.


The position will be reporting to the general partner and will be based
in their downtown Toronto office. Start off on contract (2-3 months,
$30/h) with the option to move to full time ($40K base salary +
performance bonuses -> up to another $40K).
